15yrs for house breaking

The Blantyre Magistrate Court has convicted and sentenced two men to 15 years imprisonment with hard labour for breaking into a house where they stole various items and cash over K1 million.
The convicts, 31 year-old Christopher Damiano from Mbera village, Traditional Authority Chimaliro in Thyolo district and Amos Uluko, 31, of Mpando village Traditional Authority Kachenga in Balaka, committed the offence March 8 this year in Naperi Township in Blantyre contrary to Section 301 of the Penal Code.
The house and the stolen items belonged to staffs of SRK Consulting. The criminals attacked the staffs and went away with personal assorted items and company properties, according to Blantyre Public Prosecutor, Sergeant Sandram Senzani.
After the state paraded its witnesses and evidence before court, the two were found guilty though they pleaded not guilty and Principle Resident Magistrate Innocent Nebi went ahead to slap them with 15 year jail term each for the offence.
