BB, Nomads clash in Luso TV mini tourney final

Silver Strikers general secretary Mike Tembo had to swallow his pride and admit that Lilongwe based side were not better than Blantyre based sides after his side lost to Bullets FC 1-0 in Luso TV Clash of Giants tournament.
After being battered 3-1 in the last game of the TNM Super League first round by Silver, Bullets were careful not to concede early goals like they did last week.
Thanks to the return of Sankhani Mkandawire and Chiku Kanyenda who marshaled Bullets defence along side George Nyirenda and Douglas Chirambo leaving Silver attackers Rodrick Gonani and Green Harawa no chance.
A 42nd minute header from Heston Munthali from Henry Kabichi cross was all the People’s Team needed to defeat the bankers to set up today’s final against rivals Mighty Wanderers.
The Nomads beat Epac FC 3-0 in post-match penalties after regulation time ended in a goalless stalemate.
Nomads’ goalkeeper Bester Phiri was the hero of the day after he managed to save three penalties from Stain Malata, Jelesi Lufeyo’s and Pilirani Zonda.
Mighty Wanderers Kondwani Lufeyo also missed Nomads’ first but Victor Mpinganjira, Mike Kaziputa and Cuthbert Sinetre converted their spot kicks.
