Bullets, Silver clash at Kamuzu Stadium, Lions host Wanderers

Mighty Wanderers and Bullets FC have a chance to avenge their Presidential Cup loss to Red Lions and Silver Strikers respectively as they clash in Carlsberg Malawi Cup round of 16.
Bullets face Silver on Saturday while Zomba based soldiers Red Lions host the Nomads on Sunday.
The fixtures are a repeat of Presidential Cup ties for the two Blantyre based sides.
Bullets were knocked out of the Presidential Cup after they lost 1-0 to the bankers at Civo Stadium while Wanderers were also booted out by Lions in the same competition.
The only difference is that this time the bankers will have to travel to the Southern Region to fulfill their fixture at Kamuzu Stadium.
It’s going to be a tough game for both sides who are coming from defeats in Super League.
Silver Strikers are in a crisis after they lost five of their last six games and the last was to Blue Eagles.
The bankers have responded by suspending coaches and travel to Blantyre under caretaker coaches Stain Chirwa and Francis Songo.
But Bullets are also in a crisis they have fail dot collect maximum points on their last four matches and the pressru eis montign for coach Eddington Ng’onamo.
As the Nomads travel to Zomba they are in high spirits after becoming the first team to beat Red Lions this season.
They are probably the team of the moment and enter pitch as the favourites.
But the soldiers have already proved to be a hard nut to crack more especially when playing at home.
With coach Mike Kumange’s star players Kumbukani Mwambene, Boniface Kaulesi, Loti Chawinga and Dixon Mbetewa in form, the Nomads have to be at their best to achieve their goal.
But coach Stuart Mbolembole with the help of Jack Chamangwana, has managed to transform the Nomads into a formidable side.
It’s the same old names of Victor Mpinganjira, Stewart Gerard, Innocent Dzimbiri, Benard Harawa, Mike Kaziputa, Jacob Ngwira who are now working wonders for the Lali Lubani side who are undefeated in last five matches.
