It’s an unlikely pairing, and perhaps one that could only ever happen in showbiz circles, but diminutive singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran spent his Friday night rubbing shoulders with his latest collaborator, edgy American rapper The Game.
The rapper was celebrating his birthday at popular Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. Chow, and the pair appeared to hit it off as they cheerfully posed alongside one another at the private dinner.
Diminutive Ed had made an effort for the occasion, opting for a starchy white shirt and black tie for a night of wining and dining with fellow guests Taydoe Kidd, DeRay Davis, Lola Monroe and DJ Skee.
The flame-haired singer easily mingled with the urban crowd and managed an upbeat thumbs up as he greeted the birthday boy on the red carpet that had been rolled outside the venue ahead of Friday night’s bash.
Rapper The Game – real name Jayceon Taylor – was ushering in his 34th birthday, and he appeared to be in high spirits as he greeted Ed before the pals made their way inside. The pair became pals after recording music together over the summer, a collaboration The Game revealed in a post added to his Twitter account.
‘Just made a CLASSIC record with the homie “Ed Sheeran” a.k.a. @teddysphotos !!!!!!! One of the dopest sessions in my life……. Oh’ & peep the J’s #CaliforniaLove,’ he tweeted in August.
