LEWIS HAMILTON notched his first win for Mercedes after tasting victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Brit produced a brilliant drive to finish 10.9sec ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.
Hamilton, who won here last year with previous team McLaren, has now won this race four times – equalling Michael Schumacher’s record in Hungary.
And, as we approach the second half of the F1 season following the summer break, Hamilton has now kept himself in the drivers’ championship.
He took full advantage of his brilliant qualifying lap. The 28-year-old’s fantastic performance on Saturday meant he started this race on pole and on the clean side of the track.
That proved especially important here, as it is a long drive down into the first turn.
