Malawi camps for Rwanda game

The Malawi national team, the Flames are expected to go into camp this week in preparation for an international friendly against Rwanda.
Football Association of Malawi has secured an intentional friendly for the Flames against Amavubi, the Wasps, in Kigali on August 14.
Fam General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda made the announcement on Thursday.
The game will be used to prepare for the September 7 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
“The Football Association of Malawi (Fam) would like to inform all soccer loving Malawians that the Malawi Senior National Team (The Flames) will play against Rwanda National Team on 14th August 2013 – Fifa Calendar date after successfully agreed on the terms for the friendly match,” Nyirenda said.
“The Flames are expected to travel to Kigali on Sunday 11th August and will return home on 15th August after the match. The Rwanda Football Federation(FERWAFA)will take care of the hotel accommodation/meals and local transport for the 25 member Malawi National Team delegation that will travel to Kigali while FAM will meet traveling expenses for its delegation.”
“The friendly match against Rwanda will give the new Malawi National Team Coach Tom Saintfiet an opportunity to try his tactics as the team prepares for the crucial encounter against Nigeria -scheduled for 7th September 2013 in Calabar,” he said.
Rwanda coach Eric Nshimiyimana will use the game to prepare for the final Group H World Cup qualifier against Benin which will be played on September 8 in Porto Novo.
However, Rwanda has nothing to fight for in Group H following their exit from 2014 World Cup qualifiers
Nigeria needs a draw to make it to last qualifying round while the Flames need a win.
