Moyes insists United will NOT be making any more moves

so they’ll be hoping RVP isn’t dashing off for a medical in these pictures

  • The only player Manchester United have signed in this window is Juan Mata, for £37.1m
  • United youngsters will be going out on loan
  • Fabio (permanent) and Wilfried Zaha (loan) have both joined Cardiff
  • Anderson has also been loaned out to Fiorentina
  • Robin van Persie pictured filling up his car on deadline day – presumably not before racing off to complete a last-minute medical at a rival club

David Moyes has insisted that Manchester United will not be making any more signings in this transfer window.

United have made just one January signing, but it came in the form of £37.1m Juan Mata from Chelsea, who seems to have given the whole squad a much needed boost.

The United boss stated that the only remaining business his team will conduct on deadline day will involve youngsters going out on loan.

Robin van Persie was reported to be unsettled at the club earlier in the season. But he seemed happy enough on his return to the first team after an injury break during the week, scoring in the win over Cardiff.

So, United fans can rest easy after Van Persie was pictured filling up his car with petrol on deadline day. The Dutchman was not racing off to complete a medical ahead of a move to a rival club.

Moyes said: ‘You can stand your cameras down at the gates of the training ground. There will be nothing happening. We have done our business. There may be some young players who go out on loan.

‘Players who have been in the reserves but need a different standard of football. I’m not disappointed we only got one in.

‘I said at the start we wouldn’t do much. Juan (Mata) has been everything I thought. The players have been thrilled with him.’

In terms of outgoings, the Red Devils have finally given former Crystal Palace youngster Wilfried Zaha his wish by allowing the 21-year-old to complete a loan move to Cardiff City and have let full back Fabio switch to South Wales permanently.

United have also sent out of favour midfielder Anderson to Italy for a season long loan to Fiorentina.
