The giant mobile phones service operators’ sponsorship will stretch for a period of three years.

“Often times, it has been so disheartening to read in the press, that our netball team has failed to participate in such and such tournament due to lack of funds. Each time you hear of a failure in netball, it is about funds failing the team, and not the team being defeated. “

Through the initiative, Airtel wants to support talent across the country by providing a real platform to both gain and identify netball skills.
“This initiative will target netball players who are passionate about playing netball. The initiative will also target the broader community who are keen on netball, as well as Airtel money users looking to be engaged in different and unique ways. Men are welcome to join this successful sport. They can participate in patronizing the games as fans to cheer our ladies, or even start to create their own netball teams, why not?” he said.
